Wrinkles are primarily of two types: Dynamic and Static wrinkles. The other type of wrinkle is crinkles, and read on to know more:
Dynamic wrinkles: These are the lines that are seen only while making facial expressions like frowning, wondering, smiling, and disagreement. These are seen in the early course of wrinkle formation and respond very well to anti-wrinkle injections.
Static wrinkles: These are the wrinkles that are visible even while the face is at rest. These are formed at a later stage of wrinkling when dynamic wrinkles are left untreated. These wrinkles respond well to collagen-stimulating treatments like fractional lasers, micro needling, fibroblast therapy, and hyaluronic acid injections.
Crinkles: As ageing occurs, the skin becomes more photo damaged, and the elastin fibres break and give the skin a crinkly look even at rest. These can be treated by stimulating collagen, avoiding sun exposure and injecting hyaluronic acid of various densities.
